Pulchra Avenue Studios is the creative house behind Pulchra X — a full-service creative agency founded and led by Ashanna Hodge, Creative Director and Visual Growth Partner to brands, businesses, and individuals across Calgary, Alberta and Barbados.
We exist to shape image, steward story, and develop people — not just projects. Our work lives at the intersection of brand direction, visual identity, digital presence, and cinematic storytelling, serving couples, founders, businesses, and emerging creatives with clarity and purpose.

Pulchra X is founded and creatively directed by Ashanna Hodge — a photographer, brand strategist, and creative director with over a decade of experience across Barbados, the United States, and Canada.
Her background spans editorial photography, model agency collaboration, four years as a posing coach, and cinematic brand storytelling — giving her a rare combination of technical precision, visual instinct, and human-centered creative leadership. Every project under Pulchra X carries that foundation.
Meet the Founder & Creative Director — Ashanna Hodge
I make people visible.
I grew up in Barbados and lived across North America with a love for people and a natural ability to see them — not just how they looked, but who they were becoming and what they were building. That instinct found its home behind a camera, and it never left.
Over a decade working with model agencies, running test shoots, and developing talent as a posing coach, I discovered something consistent: when people are seen clearly and positioned intentionally, their confidence shifts. Their self-image shifts. And so does the way the world receives them.
That conviction is the foundation of Pulchra X.
I founded Pulchra X under Pulchra Avenue Studios to help people and brands close the gap between who they are and how they're seen — through photography, brand direction, web design, and cinematic storytelling. Every division, every project, every deliverable exists to do one thing: position you for the impact you were built for.
